Job Summary We are looking for a Principal Designer to thoughtfully contribute to our award-winning electronic health record as a member of our mobile focused UX team. Your job will be work closely with a multi-disciplinary R&D team to define, design and test product and digital service features with the goal of improving the ability of physicians and their staff to do their jobs well. You are a talented, innovative, curious, and strategic designer, motivated to make a difference in healthcare. You want to help us break through all the red tape and transform the experience of a visit to the doctor, a trip to the emergency room, or a lifetime with a chronic illness.
The Team: Our UX team uses rapid prototyping to communicate hypotheses quickly and more quickly gain confidence from users, product teams and engineering. The ideal designer on this team will be motivated, enthusiastic, curious and comfortable presenting ideas at every stage of their design process and to all levels of the organization.
Be an inventor who continuously learns from other disciplines in order to present ideas that users love, that engineering can build fast and that align perfectly with the organization?s goals.
Rapidly create low-to high-fidelity prototypes to communicate concepts and ideas to users, product teams and engineering.
Build a deep understanding of healthcare workflows by planning and executing user, client, and domain research.
Draft UX workflows that guide detailed Agile design and development.
Empower, energize and support teams to execute and drive meaningful results
Bachelor?s or Master?s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, Business or related disciplines
5 - 8 years of experience in UX design
Substantial capability in UX creative and design techniques
Experience facilitating, summarizing and acting on takeaways from user research
Understand how to work within an agile development process for the design, development, and delivery of software
Experience building great relationships with remote users and teams.
